Friedrich Nietzsche, in his masterpiece, speaks of the prophet who descends from the mountain after ten long years of solitude. Much like the Hermit of Tarot, Zarathustra carries his own light illuminating the darkness of human knowledge: the unbreakable light of personal experience, gained through introspection, not one borrowed from the voices of others.
The Inner Cave
From the perspective of depth psychology, solitude is not melancholic isolation; it is a chrysalis, a sacred period of incubation. The psychologist Carl Jung described these moments as necessary descents into the unconscious, where one confronts oneself to emerge renewed.
