Calculate your Life Path Number
The Life Path Number is the central figure in numerology: it condenses your date of birth into a single number that describes the theme you carry, your natural talents and the lessons that keep coming back.
How it is calculated
Reduce the day, month and year of birth separately by adding their digits until a single digit remains. If 11, 22 or 33 appears along the way, keep it: those are master numbers.
Add the three results together and reduce again in the same way.
Example: 29 November 1987. Day 29 → 2 + 9 = 11 (master). Month 11 (master). Year 1987 → 25 → 7. Total 11 + 11 + 7 = 29 → 11.

Frequently asked questions
- Why are the day, month and year reduced separately?
- It is the most widespread Pythagorean method. Adding every digit at once almost always gives the same final result, but it can hide a master number that does appear in one of the components. Reducing each part separately respects those masters and makes the calculation checkable step by step.
- What are master numbers?
- 11, 22 and 33 are not reduced to 2, 4 and 6 because tradition attributes greater intensity to them: more potential and also more demands. Many people with a master number live the reduced version for years before taking on the master one.
- Does the Life Path Number change over time?
- No. It depends only on your date of birth, so it stays with you for life. What changes is how you live it: numerology adds cycles such as the personal year, which does renew every birthday, to read the stages.
