Air Element

The Air Element represents thought, communication, ideas, exchange and social relationships. In astrology it groups the signs Gemini, Libra and Aquarius, which share curiosity, objectivity and a need to talk and connect. In tarot it corresponds to the suit of Swords, which describes decisions, mental conflict and clarity. An excess of air can show up as emotional detachment or overthinking; a lack of it, as difficulty stepping back and putting experience into words. In natural magic it is associated with the east, incense and feathers.
