Trine

The Trine is the 120° aspect that links planets usually placed in signs of the same element: for example, one planet in Aries and another in Leo, both fire. It is the harmonious aspect par excellence and describes natural talents, ease and cooperation between the energies involved. Its risk is complacency: what flows without effort can be taken for granted and left undeveloped. Three trines closing a triangle form a configuration known as a grand trine. Its usual orb is up to eight degrees.
