Chaldean Numerology
Chaldean numerology is a school that presents itself as the heir of ancient Babylon, although its current form spread mainly in the twentieth century. Unlike the Pythagorean school, it gives letters values from 1 to 8 according to their sound rather than their order in the alphabet, and it reserves 9 as a sacred number assigned to no letter. It gives more weight to the name a person is known by than to their birth name. It is less widely used than the Pythagorean system, and the two can give different results for the same name.
