Clarifier Card

A clarifier card is an additional card drawn after the spread is complete to sharpen the meaning of another card that seems ambiguous or hard to integrate. It does not replace the original card but comments on it: if the Seven of Cups leaves doubt about which option is real, a clarifier can point to the concrete area. It is placed next to the card it clarifies or crossed over it. Its use should be limited to one per spread, because drawing several in the hope of a more pleasing answer dilutes the reading and usually indicates that the original question was poorly framed.
