Energy Cleansing

Energy cleansing is the set of practices intended to clear energy perceived as heavy or stagnant in a space, an object or oneself. It includes smudging, salt, the sound of bells or singing bowls, herbal water, moonlight, visualisation and the physical tidying of a place. In magical practice it is usually done before a ritual, when moving house, after an argument or after an intense reading. It has a strong symbolic and psychological component: marking a before and an after. It is no substitute for medical or psychological care when those are needed.
