Moon Water

Moon water is water left overnight under the light of the Moon, especially at the full moon, so that in magical practice it becomes charged with the Moon's symbolic energy. It is prepared in a clean glass container, often with an intention written down or spoken aloud, and collected before the sun reaches it. It is used to cleanse tools and crystals, water plants, add to ritual baths or anoint candles. If it is to be drunk, it must start as drinking water and be covered to keep out impurities. It is a simple practice that accompanies esbats and lunar work.
