Solar Return

The Solar Return is the chart cast for the exact moment the Sun returns to the position it held at birth, which happens every year around the birthday, sometimes a day before or after. It is calculated for the place where the person is at that moment and is read as a map of the year ahead: its Ascendant, the house where the Sun falls and the dominant aspects point to the main themes of those twelve months. It is always interpreted in relation to the natal chart.
