Planetary Station
A Planetary Station is the moment when a planet, seen from Earth, appears to stand still before changing direction. There are two: the retrograde station, when it begins to move backwards, and the direct station, when it resumes normal forward motion. In the days around a station the planet barely moves, and tradition holds that its influence is concentrated and intensified on the degree where it stops. That is why stations falling on a point of the natal chart are read as moments of particular significance.
