Water Element

The Water Element represents emotion, intuition, empathy, memory and inner life. In astrology it groups the signs Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, which share sensitivity, depth and the ability to perceive what goes unsaid. In tarot it corresponds to the suit of Cups, which speaks of love, bonds and feelings. An excess of water can show up as emotional dependence or difficulty setting boundaries; a lack of it, as emotional distance. In natural magic it is associated with the west, the Moon, bowls and moon water.
