Opposition

The Opposition is the 180° aspect formed when two planets sit in opposite signs of the zodiac, facing each other. It is considered a tense aspect but not a destructive one: it stretches two energies that pull in contrary directions and asks for them to be integrated rather than for one to be chosen. It is often experienced through other people, by projecting one of the two parts onto someone else. The full Moon is the best-known opposition, between the Sun and the Moon. Its usual orb is up to eight degrees.
