Suit of Pentacles

The Suit of Pentacles, also called Coins or Disks, corresponds to the element of Earth and deals with the material world: money, work, health, home, body and security. Its cards describe sustained effort, prosperity, scarcity, learning a craft and family legacy. In the Rider-Waite-Smith deck each coin bears a pentagram, a symbol of matter ordered by spirit. The Ace of Pentacles announces a concrete opportunity, and the Ten of Pentacles shows wealth consolidated across generations. A predominance of Pentacles indicates that the answer lies in tangible resources, patience and practical results rather than in ideas or feelings.
