Thoth Tarot
The Thoth Tarot was designed by Aleister Crowley and painted by Lady Frieda Harris between 1938 and 1943, though it was not published in full until 1969. It systematises the Golden Dawn correspondences with Kabbalah, astrology and alchemy, and adds the doctrine of Thelema. Several cards are renamed: Justice becomes Adjustment, Temperance becomes Art, Judgement becomes The Aeon and Strength becomes Lust. The court cards are Knight, Queen, Prince and Princess, and each numbered card carries a title, such as "Victory" for the Six of Wands. It is the reference deck for advanced esoteric tarot study.
