Queens

The Queens are the third rank of the court and represent the suit's energy in its mature, internalised form, expressed through receptivity, understanding and care. Where the King projects outward, the Queen sustains and cultivates from within. The Queen of Wands radiates confidence and charisma; the Queen of Cups, empathy and intuition; the Queen of Swords, clarity and independent judgement; the Queen of Pentacles, practical generosity. They may point to influential adult women in the querent's life or to qualities the querent needs to develop, regardless of gender. In the Golden Dawn system they correspond to the Water of each suit.
