Court Cards

The Court Cards are the sixteen figures of the Minor Arcana: the Page, Knight, Queen and King of each suit. They usually represent people in the querent's life, facets of the querent's own personality, or ways of responding to a situation. Each rank indicates a level of maturity and a mode of expressing the suit's energy: the Page learns, the Knight acts, the Queen nurtures and the King governs. For instance, the Queen of Cups can point to an empathetic person or to the need to listen to intuition. They are widely regarded as the hardest cards in the deck to interpret.
