Wicca and rituals
Wicca
Wicca is a modern Neopagan religion that Gerald Gardner made public in England in the mid-twentieth century. It honours a Goddess and a God associated with the Moon, the Earth and the Sun, celebrates the eight sabbats of the Wheel of the Year and gathers for esbats at the full moons. Its best-known ethical principle is the Rede: do what you will as long as it harms none. There are very different currents, from the initiatory Gardnerian and Alexandrian covens to the solitary, eclectic practice popularised by authors such as Scott Cunningham.
