Eclipse
An Eclipse occurs when the Sun, Earth and Moon line up near the lunar nodes. In a solar eclipse, which always falls at a new Moon, the Moon covers all or part of the Sun's disc; in a lunar eclipse, which always falls at a full Moon, Earth's shadow darkens the Moon. There are between four and seven every year. Astrology treats them as intensified lunations that open or close chapters, especially when they touch an important point in the natal chart. Their effects are read over the following months.
